There are a few items in your wardrobe that you can bring out every year I think; a faux fur coat in Winter, a chunky knit in Autumn and a pair of cropped wide leg jeans in Spring. For Summer there is one item that is such a Summer staple and one that you will get out year after year and that's the embroidered blouse top. Now embroidery had a MASSIVE surge last year and it was every where and this blue peasant number is the Next embroidered blouse that almost everyone had. It was such a good piece that I narrowly missed out on snapping up last year, but I was so over the moon that my friend Emma passed hers on to me and I've been wearing it loads this year already.
The style is so easy to chuck on and wear and I've spotted many another blogger including my fave The Frugality for example sporting their Next peasant blouse this Summer too. If like me you missed out on this version there are loads of options on the high street right now so you can grab one and there are plenty of price options too. I especially love this pale yellow and grey New Look one with more of a bardot style and a bargain at £20, as well as a higher price point Jigsaw embroidered blouse which is a great red version of the blue Next one.
Style this kind of embroidered blouse up with anything from cropped wide leg trousers (like me), denim cut offs, a simple skirt to smart black culottes or trousers for the evening. There is a reason its such a wardrobe staple too, as with fabrics like textured cotton and cheesecloth its most definitely and grab and throw on easy Summer look.
