I’m so desperate to go to a festival this year. I didn’t go to a single one last summer and I really regretted it. With this in mind I thought I’ve put together a little New Look Festival style outfit and some top tips for Festival dressing.
This crochet top is the perfect festival piece. Its got that real boho vibe and its great for layering over either strappy top if its really warm or also works great with a long sleeve top under if its a little bit chilly. Its from New Look’s Festival fashion section. They’ve got so many cute pieces. This top would look amazing for a festival in the summer with denim cut offs and wellies, I love that kinda look. Plus of course you have to wear the go to parka. This is a light weight version from Romwe that I literally haven’t taken off since it came. It works great tied round the waist too for in the day time and then pop it on in the evening when its starts to get cooler.
Denim would always be my go to item for a festival. Either ripped jeans, denim cut offs or something a bit quirkier like these denim culottes are perfect for any kind of festival look. Go boho with a crochet top like mine, or retro with a 60’s print tee or even rave neon with a pop of acid colour, denim will always be your festival friend.
Of course your going to need to take all your festival essentials with you so a decent sized bag is key and one that either goes cross body or a rucksack style is definitely the best idea so your’e not holding it all day. Theres a huge choice of really cool ruckscaks out there so there’s no excuse not to pack your wet wipes and tissues which are festival must have’s.
Footwear too is really important. Flip flops tend to be a no no due to feet getting stepped on and for me the possibility of cold feet later in the evening. Simple trainers work well or of course wellies if theres any chance of rain and consequently mud! If your going for wellies my advice is make sure your socks are long enough to reach above your wellies. This will stop your legs from getting very rubbed and sweaty!! Trust me on this!!!
Accessories are key for festival too. For a flower power boho vibe go for a floral headband like me and round framed sunglasses, add layered bracelets up your wrist and of course a watch so you you can keep track of the time and not miss your favourite band.
Fo a more hippy look you could try a jewelled headchain which look amazing and layer up your wrists with a stack of gold bangles for a real luxe festival look.
Other cool festival accessory looks are the simple scarf tied round your hair, not only does it look cool but its the perfect way to hide that 3 day old unwashed hair!! And the fedora, perfect for a festival but be aware you might lose it before the day is out!
So thats my top Festival tips. What are yours and what festivals are you planning on going to this Summer??
