It was back in August that I stayed at the Hoxton Hotel Holborn for one night whilst in London for the Thirty Plus Awards and thought it would be great to do a mini review of the room I had and the hotel I stayed in. I opted for the Holborn branch of the Hotel as that suited my location perfectly, but there is also the Shoreditch for those that need an East London location.

There are four types of room at the Hoxton Hotel Holborn; Shoebox, Snug, Cosy and Roomy Rooms. The smallest being the Shoebox room at 14 square metre up to a Roomy Room at 23 square metres. My room was a Cosy and it was just that. In any Central London hotel floor space is always at a premium and so many of the Hoxton Hotel rooms are small, but they are perfectly formed. With a lovely big cosy bed and quirky decor details I really loved my room for just me. I think if there were two of us I might want to opt for the Roomy Room, just for that little bit more floor space. I would be interested to see what size all the other rooms were in comparison to the Cosy size.

In the room were tea and coffee facilities with fresh milk and water in a mini fridge hidden by the bed. The bathroom was a stunning deep black tiled room with walk in rain shower and cute toiletries. Breakfast is included for each room and is delivered to your door in a breakfast bag. In there is yoghurt and granola, juice and a banana so you can have a lovely lazy breakfast in bed.

Downstairs the bar, cafe and lounge areas were so busy with people working, having meetings or just hanging out and I love that. Everything about the place is pretty damn cool, especially the urban concrete decor with industrial features. I also got the check out The Apartment which is a meeting or events space within the hotel. At the centre of the 6 meeting rooms is a stunning kitchen/pantry which is filled with refreshments for guests who have booked the Apartment. Back in 2014 I got to experience the Shoreditch Apartment space when me and a couple of other bloggers filmed for BBC1 The Apprentice (my 20 secs of prime time tv fame lol) and it was frankly bloody amazing!!

The Hoxton Hotel is a wonderfully busy and vibrant hotel. The rooms are small but I think the location, the decor and whole vibe of the Hoxton Hotel Holborn make it worth the room tariff. I would love to stay again, possibly next time in the largest sized room. I'd also love to stay at the Shoreditch branch of the hotel too.

Its well worth following The Hoxton on their social channels as they do often have special offers or competitions to win rooms. Find them on Twitter here.

Do check out the London tab of my blog for other things to do and places to visit in London, I've also got a couple more London hotel reviews coming very soon.
