LIFEBOX

I am on a bit of a health kick at the moment as I have been eating too much sugar and bad foods, not exercising enough and consequently I've been feeling sluggish and tired and my skin has been AWFUL! So along with joining a gym and trying to stay hydrated (see my BRITA post) I was so excited to try out the Lifebox Food Mini Box full of mini sized health food goodies. The contents of this mini sized box included lots of products designed to help you recover after training which is something Simply Health are really focused on as part of their Train & Recover Campaign. On this page you'll find lots of useful advice about how to correctly recover after working out or training as well as some yummy post workout smoothie recipes. Now I haven't started training just yet but that doesn't mean I couldn't sample a few of the yummy items from the box.

INCLUDED IN MY LIFEBOX FOOD MINI BOX

Ibiza Superfoods Detox Mix - Revive Me
Yogi Tea - Ginger & Lemon
Coco Hydro - Coconut hydration sachet
Organic Vanoffe Chocolate
Coconut Palm Sugar
Rhythm 108 biscuits
Pip&Nut Peanut Butter
Chia Seeds
PHD Woman Natural protein
Raw Gorilla Munchies
Pulsin Raspberry & Goji bar
Tapped Birch Water
Inspiral Cacao & Cinnamon Kale chips

Lots of the sachets are designed for adding into smoothies. For example the Revive Me Detox mix is a powder containing super foods and botanicals and is perfect for adding into juice, smoothies or yogurt. The Revive Me one would be perfect post workout I reckon!  There was also the PhD Woman sachet which was a dairy, gluten  and soy free protein supplement, which you can again add into your post gym smoothie. This one I was excited by as I never found many dairy, gluten and soy free protein powders when I looked several years ago, its great that there are options for people with intolerances like me (I'm intolerant to all three)

My personal faves were the Pulsin Raw Choc & raspberry bar which was delicious and the Pip&Nut Peanut butter which was out of this world. I also loved the Birch water which was really good too.

I loved trying out all these new health foods out and they were ones I wouldn't ever have bought. I do think the whole super food/protein powder/supplement thing is a bit of a minefield, especially for someone like me with so many intolerance but I'm looking forward to trying some of these out once I start heading to the gym.

The Lifebox Food Mini Box is £14.95 and Lifebox Food subscription boxes start at £19.95 per month.

Let me know if you've tried any health foods like these? I'd love to know some good freefrom smoothie recipes?

Fab post & lovely shots. These look like such nutritious post workout goodies. Having Fibromyalgia, I only use a Pilates reformer fir my workouts now, but find so many nutritional goodies are helpful fir my muscles. This box looks worth investigating, thanks!
