If you keep a beady eye on my Instagram you'll have spotted one of these stunning photos taken by the talented Alex Cameron for the John Lewis Wedding Guest outfit shoot. It was such an incredible day and the location at the Pergola Gardens Hampstead was such a pretty and unique location. Along with five other bloggers Alex was shooting our alternative wedding guest outfits. It was such a dream of mine to be shot by such a talented photographer as Alex as her work is incredible.  We each had to choose an outfit from the John Lewis Wedding Guest section and try to think outside the box.
I'm not a huge dress wearer these days and you all know how much I love a jumpsuit so I knew that was the key item I wanted to choose. I think a jumpsuit is a great option for a wedding guest outfit as they are chic, comfy and if you choose one with either a print or a bright colour can look gorgeous for  a Summer wedding. I had chosen this stunning Whistles yellow frill jumpsuit which is the most amazing colour. It has such pretty frill detail to the front and a cut out detail at the back too. I love that the fabric is a bit textured and it fit me like a dream. I partly picked it as I would totally wear this again and in fact wore it that evening to and event but casual with a striped top underneath and trainers. Its important to try and choose a wedding guest outfit that you are likely to wear again I think, especially if you are spending a lot of money. On the shoot day Alex found the most perfect flowers to tie in with this gorgeous shade of yellow and I think it complements the look sooo much.

Accessories wise I chose a clutch bag. The And/OR pom pom clutch is a bit quirky and I love that it adds some fun to the outfit plus there is lots of room inside for your wedding guest essentials like camera, lipstick and of course tissues.  The outfit is finished off with a classic pair of nude shoes and I chose these super pretty Dune court shoes. Always choose footwear you are going to be comfy in for a whole day at a wedding unless you can stash flats in your handbag. I most definitely would have to sneak some flats in as I am rubbish in heels but the heeled shoe lengthens the leg and makes this jumpsuit look so much smarter.

To finish the whole outfit I curled my hair and pinned one side up with this pretty pearl hair clip which matched my statement pearl earrings which were a bargain and I love how they tie in with my hair. My makeup was done by the incredible Laura Louise Makeup and she created for me a lovely peachy and warm smokey eye, peach cheek and a soft coral lip. Exactly the kind of look I would wear to a wedding, I only wish I could do my eyes as incredible as Laura did them.

I love my Alternative Wedding guest outfit and I also adore the shots by Alex so thank you so much to her.

What do you think of my Wedding Guest outfit? Would you wear it?

Such a lovely colour on you!
I’m the same, I don’t wear dresses, ever really, but do like a jumpsuit. It’s a great alternative!

I love how you experiment with clothes and came up with a jump suit instead of a dress as a wedding guest! Fashion!
