I have been waiting for ages to wear this cute vintage floral co-ordinate set. I bought it from a vintage store at the beginning of year as I had a hunch that co-ords were gonna be huge, but its not been warm enough to wear it until a couple of weekends ago.  Its a lovely lightweight silky fabric and is a loose pair of shorts and vest set in a kind of Laura Ashley floral print.

I wore it with my Primark floral burnout shirt under and these stunningly beautiful Rose Gold Cage sandals by Dolcis. How gorgeous are they???? They matched this outfit beautifully and they were surprisingly comfy to wear too. They’re from Dolcis – somewhere I used to shop all the time when they had High Street stores but mostly for practical school shoes and the like. I’m loving their online collection though, some of their SS14 range is to die for and much more contemporary and on trend.
Running with the rose gold theme I kept all my jewellery rose gold toned too.

It was also the first outing for my new pink Zatchel barrel bag which I got in the big Zatchel sale. I’m so surprised that I chose pink but I love it so much and it was the perfect handbag for this outfit as it picks out all the pink from the floral design of the co-ord. And to add further lovely pinkness to the look and because the sun was shining I wore my new Breo sunglasses. They are created by the company that make the wrist watches and the sunglasses are also in that lovely velvety soft material that the watches are in too – almost rubbery like. I picked these cute pink Vox sunglasses which have a Wayfarer style shape but a bit more rounded. They are sooooo cute and the lenses are brilliant and block out all UV rays so they’re much better than just a cheap pair from Primark for example, they also only cost £25 which is pretty reasonable for how high quality they feel. They have loads of other colours too so check them out.

I love this layering look and it was actually inspired by a look I spotted on Instagram a few months ago from Blair Eadie. I get inspiration from so many places that I thought it would be nice to show where my inspiration comes from and start a series of “Inspired By” posts including other bloggers and the looks they’ve inspired. So this is Number 1, number 2 to come very soon.

This is oh so pretty, you look really lovely in this beautiful outfit! I follow Atlantic Pacific too and get a lot of inspiration from Blair, but my main inspiration is always vintage, so I look at a lot of women’s magazines from the 1950s, watch old black and white films, throw a bit of Dita in along with a love for the quirky, and that’s pretty much me! I like the pink bag! Zatchels bags are all so cute.
I definitely get inspired by outfits I see on blogs and on Pinterest. Sometimes, it’s just random people I see though; yesterday I totally fell in love with a coat and bag combo a woman on my train was wearing. Definitely something I can recreate!
