Styling Primark & Affordable jewellery | Three Looks

February 14, 2017 1 Comment

Today's post features two of my favourite things; Primark and jewellery. I love Primark for its affordability and range and of course I'm over the moon they have finally opened a Primark Colchester. To celebrate I've teamed up with another local store who is just across the road from the brand new Primark, The Gallery at Upchurch. They stock some incredible jewellery, my other love, and so many affordable jewellery ranges including Muru and Daisy. Today I'm styling up three head to toe Primark looks alongside some of my favourite pieces from The Gallery.

This first look is definitely my favourite. I love the flared sleeves on this Primark dress which is a bargain at only £10. I've teamed it with simple white trainers £10, striped strap bag £7 with faux silk scarf £1 tied on. For jewellery I'm layering two Muru necklaces; the silver moon and the silver feather along with the silver moon earrings. The Muru jewellery range is so affordable. Either silver or gold vermeil Muru pieces start from £30 for earrings with these necklaces priced at £45. They come beautifully boxed so make great gifts I think and are perfect for layering too which is my favourite way to wear my jewellery. Why wear one necklace when you can wear two eh?

I'm also wearing a really clever piece of jewellery the Les Georgettes bangle which is brand new to The Gallery at Upchurch. This fine metalwork bangle has interchangeable leather inserts which means you can switch up and change to suit your outfit. You'll see how I've styled this bracelet with all three of the outfits with just a simple change of leather insert. The bracelets start at £69 which includes one insert, with the individual inserts priced around £15. I love this idea and every insert has a colour on each side so there's two looks from every insert. Plus if you register the The Gallery you'll get another insert free! I'm wearing the holographic insert with this outfit, but red would look amazing too. I'm also wearing a Thomas Sabo ring from the brand new collection which features turquoise elements and it is so beautiful and so sparkly. It has a real tribal feel to the collection and so pretty.

Thomas Sabo Triangle necklaces & Infinity Black bracelet

This look is my kind of night out outfit, really simple and all black. I'm wearing Primark skinny jeans £10, polka dot shirt £12 and glove style heels £10. I'm also wearing a Primark biker jacket. This beauty is only £23. I posted not long ago about investing in a real leather jacket, but this bargain is such a good dupe. It has gorgeous biker padding details on the shoulder and looks way more expensive than it is. As this is a night out outfit I've gone for a bit of sparkle in the jewellery and chose Thomas Sabo. I'm wearing the triangle necklace which features small stones along with the long triangle necklace. I love this layered look and although Thomas Sabo has a higher price point at around £110 for a necklace such as this, they also do have have pieces such as the Infinity bracelet I'm wearing which start at around £60.  Thomas Sabo has some incredibly sparkly pieces perfect for adding into a simple outfit like this to dress it up.

You might notice too that I'm wearing the Les Georgettes bracelet again, this time with a pretty black and white leather insert.

My last look is a slightly summery look but for now I'm wearing it layered up with a big chunky cardi (which is actually H&M) This cute striped bardot top from Primark is a bargain at £10 and I've teamed it with some Primark skinny jeans £10 on which I've diy'd a step hem. I'm also carrying the cutest nude bag which is a real steal at £5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a bargain and a half.

Jewellery wise I'm mixing up metals and wearing gold and silver. I'm wearing Muru once again wearing their Star necklace in gold along with one of my favourite pieces the Sun and Moon necklace by Daisy London. Daisy London is a new brand to me but I'm in love with their entire collection. From delicate layering pieces featuring daisy motifs as well as Chakra and Native themed collections I adore how they mix metals. They are a little pricier than Muru but still very affordable with this necklace priced at £89. I'm also wearing the sun and moon bracelet too which matches in with the mixed tones of the necklace. I've worn my Muru moon earrings again too so you can see how easy it is to mix and match pieces.

Once again I'm wearing the Les Georgettes bangle and this time with a pink insert. How versatile is this bracelet?? Love it.

I'd love to know which of the looks is your favourite and of course which of the jewellery pieces catches your eye too? If you are planning on stopping by the new Primark Colchester do head to The Gallery at Upchurch too and check out their collection, plus if you sign up to their newsletter you'll get a 10% off voucher to use in-store!!

Hope you loved todays post x
