Summer Essentials Outfit Post

I’ve been so jealous of everyone’s holiday snaps on instagram, despite the fact I was laying in the 30 degree heat of Egypt in March it does seem like a long time ago. I cant wait to go away again in August and I’m already thinking about what I’m going to pack and this white embroidered dress from M&S is definitely top of my list. Not only does it look lovely styled up for the daytime like this with my lace up sandals and my new Michael Kors but I think it will look so pretty for night time too. I’d wear it with tan wedges and a bigger statement necklace. Its definitely a holiday essential piece and I think these Missguided lace up sandals are too which are soooo pretty. I love the way they look with this dress and they look so cool with denim cut offs and shorts too.

My little Michael Kors cross body bag is also a great summer essential piece I think as  its perfect for days out and small enough to be light to carry but can fit my purse and my camera in. I picked it up in the House of Fraser sale and I’m so glad I did, I love it.

Now that the sunshine has well and truly arrived in England I’m definitely planning what holiday essentials I want to pack in August and possibly even to start using now too. M&S sent me some gorgeous summer essential beauty items to try out and I cant wait to take some of these away with me.

I love Leighton Denny nail polish so much and all three of these colours are perfect for Summer especially the coral toned red which will look amazing on my toes I think.  Sun cream and aftersun are definite summer essentials too and I’m looking forward to trying this Ultrasun 30spf Face suncream. I find sun tan lotion very greasy for my face and this product is designed for sensitive skin and specifically for the face so I think it will be perfect for my skin type. Plus its anti ageing too which is also really good for my age of skin too.  My favourite aftersun is usually the green aloe vera gel and this M&S aftersun not only has aloe vera in it  its a gel consistency too, so this will most definitely get packed to try out. I like to keep my aftersun in the fridge while I’m away so when you apply its lovely and cold, perfect for sun burnt skin.

I’m definitely one of those people that likes to go on holiday with a tiny bit of colour beforehand, even if that colour is fake and I am a big fan of this Fake Bake gradual tanner. Its really good for building up a bit of colour before you go away and also to keep your tan topped up once you get back too. I’m already using this at the moment just to give a bit of colour to my legs.
