My London Fashion Week Highlights AW15

I thought I’d share with you some of my favourite photos and highlights of my time at LFW this season. Despite the fact I didn’t enjoy it as much as previous years there were some favourite moments and some brilliant experiences and here are some of them.

LFW-WHATIGOTUPTO.2My yummy breakfast at The Delaunay with the Debenhams girls and Annie was most definitely a highlight. Not least because I ate some of the tastiest pancakes I’ve ever had, but also because it was so nice just to hang out with them all and experience a bit of calm in the middle of the chaos of LFW.

The location for the Julien Macdonald show was stunning and the show itself was a major highlight for me. I loved the whole show. You can see all my pictures in my LFW Catwalk post.

The Rohmir show was one I missed last year due to it starting so behind schedule I had to leave before it started. This season I was determined to see it. There was the same late start and some serious frow and seating chaos but the show was lovely and this beaded and feather jacket was one of my favourite and standout pieces. Plus I had a pot of the passion fruit SNOG frozen yoghurt and I’d had one last season and fallen love and I’m not ashamed to admit it, eating another one this season was a highlight for me because its AMAZING!!

I was lucky enough to go backstage for the Vietinio show at Fashions Finest. Designed by Vietnamese designer Viet Nguyen Quang, I adored the fishtail shape of the gowns and the graphic print of cane birds that was featured all over the pieces. I also really liked the braided hair with smooth top section and plaited bun all the models had, it was the perfect style to sit under what was quite a dramatic headpiece!

I loved the theatre of the whole show and the gowns looked stunning coming down the catwalk. My standout piece had to be the red and black coat dress which had the most amazing shape to it

Straight after the Vientinio show was the Sebastian London show which showcased even more stunning gowns. This time the dresses featured ornate lace and beadwork with some incredible silhouettes. Some of the standout pieces were this gorgeous purple silk and lace dress with stunning back detail and the final dress which was bridal and had the most beautiful detail on the upper bodice. A really beautiful collection.

Lastly my little hotel room at the President Hotel was a highlight thanks to its location in Russell Square I was only 10 minutes away from LFW. I headed back here on Saturday night and curled up in my bijou little bed with a huge tray of room service. The hotel rooms have been refurbed really well with really pretty green and lilac colour scheme. The bathroom was clean and modern and the breakfast next day was really good too. All for less than £60 I was really happy to have this place to crash at after such a long day.

That’s all my highlights of LFW. Let me know what yours were??
