I grabbed this dress the day before the Look Again blogger dinner as I wanted something dressy enough for an event but comfy to wear in the warm weather. This River Island midi was £20 in the sale (its down even lower now!) and I wasn’t sure on the hanger but on its so so pretty. It has a double layer and a really nice monochrome graphic print.

I jazzed it up with my beloved Essie Action which is a really vibrant orange and tied this in with a layered necklace from New Look. I actually took the necklace apart and wore only the top two and remade the tassel so it was orange! I know – that’s commitment yeah? I love to take jewellery and rework it so its perfect for what I want. I own jewellery making equipment like pliers etc so its not a big deal to do it. I then wore the two layers with a little gold tone necklace from Primark with 3 cubes on it. I’m loving this delicate layering of jewellery at the moment rather than one really big necklace.

And once again I’m wearing my lovely Next round sunglasses that got in a goody bag and now cant take off. They did snap on the day of the event so are cunningly glued together now, but i love the shape so much.

I’m off to London again today and tomorrow for some events and press days and as the weather is set to be warm I will be trying to choose something as comfy but cool as this outfit. You can read all about this Look Again event I went to in this post

I love this dress, I’ve always been wary of midi dresses because I’ve found they tend to mostly be quite tight fitting/bodycon style, but this looser fit is much more me! :) Hope you had an amazing time at the event :)
