Bang On Style Bedroom Tour

blue bedroom tourFor my third scheduled post I thought I’d give you a  little sneak peek of my bedroom and some of the new bits we have picked up recently.
The bedding is one that I ve seen on loads of blogs but I’ve actually had it for ages. Its from Asda and was so cheap but it has a gorgeous duck egg pattern all over and actually washes really well.
*
We painted the feature wall this teal colour right after we moved in and the rest of the walls white. We decided to add a lighter blue into the alcoves to bring some more tones of colour into the room.
*
I bought the blanket box from a charity shop and painted it and covered the top in fabric. I keep all my jumpers in there as I’ve run put of room in my wardrobe.
*
We’re so lucky that our house has some amazing period features and the fireplace in the bedroom is one of my favourite. We have pictures dotted on it as well as a hand drawn illustration of me and my husband that I gave him as a gift on my wedding day.
*
My dressing table is a vintage chest of drawers with mirror which has been adapted so it can be sat at and painted white and my stool is Ikea. I hand all my jewellery on hooks I’ve added to the top and all my makeup lives in the drawer divided up in boxes. I really want some Ikea plastic dividers but cant find them in stock anywhere.
*
My bangle storage was made in the theatre workshop where I work and is just wood dowel, but the longer one lists off so you can access the bangles at the bottom.
*
I bought my earring storage off ebay thanks to a VIPXO post and I love being able to see all my pairs and keep them together.
*
The rest of my jewellery is stored in an Ikea Malm cabinet which has drawers and a lifting lid with mirror on the inside. I have bets/scarves and tights etc in all the lower drawers but have the top three for jewellery alone. I’ve divided up my bracelets into colours using some of my old beauty boxes.
*
Our wardrobes are all Ikea from the Pax range and we bought them with the proceeds of selling lots f wedding bits on Ebay after the day. Its so nice to have more space now and the mirrored doors reflect light around and make the room look bigger of course!
*
Lastly we just bought this lovely duck egg rug from Tesco and its so soft underfoot and adds a great splash of colour to the floor.

So there’s a sneak peek  of my bedroom. Hope you enjoyed a good nosey.
I’d love to read yours if you’ve written one so please leave your post link below
