I am such a child of the 80's. I rocked every trend going. I had the shell-suit ( a turquoise one!!) the ripped denim, the high top trainers with massive tongues and I even had a perm, ok that one was in the 90's but you get my drift. This photo on the left is one of my faves of me. I'm the little one on the left and so most likely my 80's outfit was chosen for me by my folks, but you've got to respect the chunky cream Aran knit and ice cream combo. Clearly not a warm day down at the beach ha ha. I'm also loving my sisters head to toe navy look! Especially the gilet!!
Aran knit is one of those things that will always be around I think, its such a classic so of course I'm still rocking a cream chunky knit even now. Fashion really is one of those things that comes around in cycles and the 80's are massively back right now. From slogan tees to studded and ripped denim and leather you'll spot the 80's influence all over the high street. I love that my new ECCO SOFT 1 trainers have that nod to the 80's in their high top shape. They're actually a reworking of the original 1982 ECCO design and sweet lord they are COMFY!! Like literally the most comfiest shoes I've ever worn.

ECCO shoes fit like a glove and are comfortable straight out of the box.. No breaking in needed with these beauties. The leather is beautiful and soft and I think they will be a god send for shooting photos when I'm on my feet all day as they are so comfy. I love the high top shape too. Its a different shape to the rest of my trainer collection (which is rapidly growing) and is very 80's but with a modern twist I reckon. As you can see they are super easy to wear. I'm wearing them with my new fave chinos and my good old chunky knit. Sadly its not a cardi and there's no ice cream in sight mores the pity although I do think my hair is distinctly better. I can't wait to wear my ECCO SOFT 1 trainers with jeans and I think they'll be really quirky with a tee dress and biker jacket too.
The ECCO SOFT 1 comes in high top shape or low top shape as well as a couple of colorways; grey and blue. Find them all to shop here
What was your favourite fashion of the 80's? Do you love my new ECCO shoes?
