M&S Summer Holiday Swimwear #noholidayhangups

August 2, 2017 2 Comments

I think a good swimsuit or bikini can make or break how you feel on holiday. Let's be honest on a day to day basis you don't walk around wearing an outfit that covers less than underwear and so for many of us having to walk around in a bikini on holiday can be pretty terrifying. But get your choice of swimwear right and you'll be strutting your stuff along the beach better than any Baywatch babe. So when Marks & Spencer asked if they could send me two new pieces of M&S swimwear along with two beach cover ups I was interested to see if they would pass my strict swimwear criteria.

Over the years what I look for in my Summer holiday swimwear has changed.  I'm over the tiny triangle bikinis now and I love a good one piece! There are so many stunning and sexy one piece swimsuits on the High street now. If do wear a bikini, I don't like the bottoms to be so skimpy they can't cover up my wobbly bum caused by one too many Cornetto's. Despite the trend demonstrated by Love Island for thong style bikinis bottoms I like mine as big as Bridget Jones knickers, in fact the bigger the better to be honest. Marks and Spencer's swimwear is designed to fit as well as their underwear and they have so many options for mix and matching that I was confident they'd have some pieces that would make me super summer confident!

Marks and Spencer's new Spend it Well tagline is all about enjoy the little things in life and this campaign #noholidayhangups is about being confident in great fitting swimwear so you can just enjoy your holiday and time with your family. One of my favourite holidays was our trip to Frigiliana last year where we stayed in a villa with our own pool and I just loved floating around on my inflatable flamingo (yes I have one!) I felt so happy and so chilled on that holiday. I really hope we get to go back this year and I'm hoping that some of this new swimwear can come with me. Stay tuned to the end of this post where you can win your own swimwear bundle by sharing one of your fave holiday memories.

So first up is this cute Tile Print bikini. I love the fact the bandeau top has a removable strap meaning you can wear this strapless style and avoid those nasty tan lines. The Tile bikini bottoms are a short shape, which whilst still cut to flatter they just give my bum that extra bit of coverage. This is the perfect bikini to team with this pretty Cotton Shirred Midi cover up dress. Wear it to wander down to the beach with your bikini underneath, simple sandals and that all important straw hat! It's a gorgeous daytime look and the dress I think could equally be worn on its own.

The Tile bikini also comes with a standard bra style top, tankini top and normal bikini bottoms so you can mix and match the style you like that suit  your shape and that you feel most comfortable in and if you love the print but don't want a bikini then you can choose the Tile print swimsuit. So many options.

A classic black swimsuit is a definite swimwear must have and it doesn't have to be just for the gym. This Black Wrap swimsuit has such a flattering shape and thanks to it built in shape wear and moulded cups you will gonna feel like a million dollars even though its super affordable at £25. Plus it has that all important bum coverage too, honestly its so important to me.

But your black swimsuit doesn't have to boring and I love how this gorgeous Colour Block jumpsuit gives it a vibrant pop of colour. This cover up is brilliant for heading out for afternoon cocktails over the top of the swimsuit and add a bright lip and some statement earrings and you are good to go for pina coladas right into the evening! It's a lovely loose and relaxed fix jumpsuit and the wide leg is totally my cup of tea.

I love all your cute Summer M&S finds. Makes me wish I was going on holiday this year. The sandals & bright coloured dress are super cute. I also like that the tile print bikini has different style options – such a fab idea.

Oh debs I thought I could soldier on with my bikini that make me feel crappy but now I’ve read this I definitely need to get some decent pieces from m&s that’ll make me feel great! I love the black swimsuit and the colourful jumpsuit that goes with it.

As for holiday memories, I think it has to be my first holiday with the husband, wearing my oldie (but a goodie) silk maxi dress. Whenever I wear that he tells me I look beautiful and I always feel beautiful wearing it, swishing around the resort and off for dinner.

Anyway sorry for my massive essay of a comment but I loved this post a lot :-). Kat xx
