A couple of weekends ago I stopped by a really cool event at the shopping centre Mayflower over in Basildon. The Streetstyle Bus event was on tour around the country and stopped in Essex for just one weekend. This pop up fashion and beauty event was full of makeup tutorials and styling talks to help shoppers with their wardrobe and beauty looks for Autumn Winter. The lovely team there were on hand all day offering advice and styling tips and JP the stylist had pulled all his fashion picks from the stores within Mayflower including Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Choice. There were some gorgeous pieces and throughout the day he was talking shoppers through three of the key trends for the upcoming seasons. I stayed for the one of the talks and loved his layering advice as well as so many of the pieces he'd picked out. So much so that I went and bought one of the jumpers from his rail t from Topshop straight after the talk.
Also on hand was the lovely beauty expert Fiona, celeb makeup artist, who was doing makeup demos tthroughoutthe day. I had a soft smoky eye done as part of one of her demo's and I picked up so many tips and really loved the final look. Plus she used all products available from Boots at the Mayflower. Inside the Streetstyle Big Red bus they also had free makeup and beauty treatments including nails and mini massages for shoppers to enjoy, so lots going on as well as discount vouchers for use in all the shops there at the Mayflower too. We finished the day with the yummiest cakes from Cakey McCakeface, which let me just say has the best flippin shop name ever as well as the biggest range of flavours and then did some shopping of our own. It was a really fun event and I loved that it was completely free and covered male, female and kids fashion too.
Thanks so much to the Streetstyle Bus team for inviting me down and do try and catch the Streetstyle Bus if it comes to a town near you!
