I love a good ways to wear post. Lets be honest most of us buy items for our wardrobe to be worn more than once despite the fact this is often called "recycling" in the media. That's why I like to write posts like this to inspire lots of ways to style one key item and get the most wear out of it. Today's post is a Ways To Wear the Shirt Dress and the key item is this gorgeous Leaf Print maxi shirt dress from Wallis. It has the most incredible palm style print on it and will definitely be a great addition to your Summer wardrobe.
Here's two simple ways to wear this dress.
WAYS TO WEAR THE SHIRT DRESS - EVENING

DRESS | EARRINGS | MULES | CLUTCH | CUFF
This dress looks amazing for a night out teamed with a pair of this seasons shoe the black mule. I've layered it over a simple black midi dress with most of the buttons done up and its really elegant I think for dinner or drinks. For ultimate glamour I love these statement earrings which add some drama to the whole outfit plus add darker lip and you are set for your Saturday night out. I also think this shirt dress would look gorgeous styled like this but with beaded sandals on holiday too. I can just imagine wandering along the beach after cocktails at sunset wearing this dress (can you tell I'm desperate for holiday ha ha)

WAYS TO WEAR THE SHIRT DRESS - DAYTIME

For the daytime I'm wearing the shirt dress layered over jeans and a simple black vest with the dress half buttoned. I love this maxi dress over jeans look, its the kind of thing I'd wear to head into town shopping or lunch. I've removed the fabric belt and added a khaki statement belt instead to nip it all in at the waist. For total casual vibes I've chucked on my comfiest trainers and my khaki shopper tote which tones in great with the greens in the dresses print which I just love. Simple jewellery for this daytime look too so I chose this layered choker which adds just a little flash of gold and is so pretty I've been wearing it loads.
The shirt dress works great worn like this but would also be gorgeous worn totally open like a kimono. Pack it in your suitcase for your holiday and wear it by the pool over your swimsuit or bikini!! Sooo many ways to wear.

So that's my ways to wear the Shirt Dress! I hope you love the two looks and if you love the dress then do check out the animal print version too which is also GORGEOUS!!
Happy Friday all.

I LOVE the way you have worn this dress, especially the daytime look. I would shy away from that normally but it looks fab. I will steal that idea, thank you for the inspiration x

Love this Debs! It’s a fantastic dress! The print is incredible. :)
I love boy ways of styling it, but I’m forever a jeans girl, so daytime it is for me. :)

Absolutely love this shirt dress – it’s actually one that CAN be worn anyway you want to and the pattern is so pretty! The day look is something I would never have tried but it looks so good the way you’ve styled it! x
Shirt dresses are so versatile. I love how you’ve styled this in two different ways. It looks equally chic in both <3
