Coatwalk 2015 – The Classic Black Coat

I think a classic black coat is staple item in anyone’s wardrobe so you might be surprised to hear this is the first one I’ve owned in a long time! I’ve tended to purchase patterned or coloured coats which in the season that you buy them are great but by the following Winter are probably off trend and don’t go with any of your new Winter wardrobe (or maybe thats just me!! ) This gorgeous black wool coat is from the incredible Coatwalk Collection by Jacques Vert which is a curated collection of coats from brands such as Precis Petite, Kaliko, Windsmoor and Planet to name but a few. There is a coat in there to suit every taste and each one is not only very design led which is clear in the shapes and tailoring,  but they are also incredible quality.

This coat is stunning and definitely a classic style. You may think it a more formal coat but I love wearing it styled like this just a little bit more causal. Teamed with jeans, a striped high neck top and over the knee boots its a slightly more relaxed look but I also think this is great coat for a really dressy occasion too. I have a very important event to go to in a couple of weeks which is outdoor and this coat will be perfect! I also love the fact the fur is detachable so you can also wear it without .

I definitely think this coat will be a great addition to my wardrobe. I’m looking forward to plenty of wear over Christmas!! I’m so excited to see Christmas decorations popping up everywhere now. Anyone else?? I’m already planning party frocks and I think sequins might be in order at some point this year!! I am still working on my Etsy store which is going to launch this week with some handmade Christmas decoration and  hand embellished knitted hats :-) So I’ll add a link here on my blog when it goes live.
