I was lucky enough to attend both the Jasper Conran and Julien Macdonald LFW shows with the lovely ladies from Debenehams. Both shows were absolutely beautiful but for very different reasons.
The Jasper Conran show was a stunning mix of rich colours and tailoring all laid out along an catwalk of autumnal leaves. I adored the bold prints using colours like ochre and navy together and I really like the pop of colour from vibrant green and deep violet.

The collection was incredibly wearable and very classic and so many of the pieces could be taken straight off the catwalk into your everyday wardrobe. My favourite look was most definitely the graphic skirt paired with the chevron design jumper, loved the clashing prints.

If the Jasper Conran collection was everyday then the Julien Macdonald collection was anything but. This show set in the incredibly dramatic venue of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office was full of show stopping gowns. Colours ranged from bright fushia and blue to classic black and metallics. My favourite was a rich green and black dress with intricate beading, lace detailing and double straps. Taylor Swift wore this dress to this weeks Elle Awards and looked stunning, such a gorgeous piece.

The whole collection was amazing.  I especially liked the sheer panels which gave so many of the dresses an edge, plus amazing lattice work detailing and lace appliques. There was a most definite gothic feel to the whole show especially the hair and makeup that went alongside it and I really liked this dark take on an evening look. Julien Macdonald always creates the most stunning shapes which are so sexy and bold and I loved so many of the pieces.

Thanks so much to Debenhams to taking me along to the shows. My Day Three outfit will be up on the blog tomorrow plus I’ll be sharing some more catwalk snaps over the weekend too.

Two of my favourite designers here, and I agree about the Taylor swift gown, a great post. It’s on my wish list to go to lfw next year
