My 5 favourite Statement Earrings

January 9, 2018 1 Comment

I am a total and utter statement earring convert. I used to be all about the necklaces and layering delicate jewellery but now give me a bright pair of tassel earrings and I'm a happy lady. Obviously statement earrings had a huge moment last year, but don't ditch your Bet Lynch bauble earrings just yet as large tassels, pom poms and geometric shapes are all set to continue for 2018 Spring Summer too. Here are Five of my Favourite Statement Earrings I'm wearing right now plus some of my top earring picks from the High Street and top tips of where to shop for the best quirky designs.

TASSEL EARRINGS

A good pair of tassel earrings are the perfect way to add a pop of colour to an outfit. I love this red pair which I actually got from an Accessorize press day but I have so many pairs of tassel earrings in different colours. I know lots of people went crazy for the H&M tassels but they were just a bit too big for me and I prefer a simpler tassel. My top places to get tassel earrings are Lovisa which have an incredible range of loads of earrings, Missguided who have some gorgeous bright designs and also another place you might not think to look is Matalan where I bought these gorgeous hot pink tassel earrings.

I've linked some other of my fave tassel earrings below.

WIRE GEOMETRIC EARRINGS

I love the simplicity of wire earrings especially with a modern geometric shape. This pair of Diamond shape hoops came from one of my fave places to buy quirky earrings - Marks and Spencer and I have worn them so much since. M&S have such an amazing collection of earrings including some I've linked below. The prices are great too with really pretty styles from only £5 like these Sleek hoops. I also have been after a pair of star wire earrings and found a gorgeous pair for only £3.99 so these went in my basket straight away.

ALL BLACK EARRINGS

I bought these all black earrings in the sale from Lovisa to take on my cruise and they have become my most worn earrings. The fact they are all black means they go with everything perfect for when you don't want to mix metals, plus they are great for daytime as they are not too sparkly.  A great easy to wear, chuck on with anything earring.

Here are some more all black earrings I have my eye on.

gold horn earrings

Horn shapes were huge last year and this over sized pair were another Lovisa bargain. I go to the Westfield Stratford store and browse the sale section, there is always a a bargain to be found. These gold earrings are probably one of my biggest pairs but I love the shape and I do wear them in the daytime as well as the evening.

Another place I love to shop for earrings is Yesstyle. The delivery takes an age but they have such a huge range of earrings and sooooooo cheap! Every so often I buy a mini haul of about 4 or 5 pairs and this circle pair are one of my favourites. They go with everything and I love the length.  Styles go off site after a while so this exact pair isn't available anymore but I've linked some other gorgeous circle style earrings below including some other Yesstyle picks.

Are you a statement earring addict like me? Which style are you going to be snapping up for Summer?
