Christmas party looks

I really wanted to share some party outfit ideas on the blog this year, but as lots of you know I'm not a huge dress wearer. That's not to say I don't ever wear dresses and in fact I have a really pretty one coming to the blog next week, but I really wanted to share something a bit different. So here are my 5 Christmas party outfits for non dress wearers like me. I hope you love these festive looks and I'd love to know which one is your fave. You'll find everything I've worn linked under each outfit.

The Tuxedo Suit

I have wanted a Tux suit for absolutely ages. I loved the idea of wearing a really smart tailored suit as a party look and this tuxedo suit has such a nice shape to it. It also has lovely details like satin contrast lapel and waistband that makes it look just that little bit more special. Underneath I've layered this pretty sparkly fringe cami vest but it would also look so cool with a slogan tee underneath, a bright red lip and statement earrings.
I actually wore this outfit to the Thirty Plus Awards with trainers and loved the combination of smart and casual. For this look I'm wearing the most incredible heeled boots which give the suit such a nice silhouette.

The frill blouse

This is most definitely my go to party look, a nice pair of jeans, boots and a really jazzy blouse. I love this gold and black frilly number, it has just enough sparkle to dress up a pair of black jeans and I adore it with my new star design Cambridge satchel. Go for a blouse with ruffle details and some sparkle for that perfect festive outfit. Chuck on a fur coat for the journey and don't worry about clashing prints either, its my fave!

Of course there had to be a jumpsuit in here. If I have to choose my favourite item of clothing its most definitely a jumpsuit. I love how easy to wear they are and how you can dress them up or down. I'm going bold for party season with a very festive bright red jumpsuit. I love the cold shoulder detail and wide leg trouser shape of this one. If red isn't your thing it also comes in black too. I'm wearing it with the cutest sparkly heels which are my perfect party shoe as they are not too high and have an ankle strap and of course my star design handbag which is the perfect size to pop in your lipstick and some mistletoe!

If you want to go for a bit of a rock chick look then you can't go wrong with this incredible velvet blazer. It comes in grey, blue and black and has a lovely crushed finish. I'm wearing it with leather look jeans, a simple black cami and a black choker and I love how dressy but cool this look is, perfect for Christmas drinks out with the girls.

If velvet is your thing and you want a really comfy relaxed but smart look then these wide leg velvet trousers are just the ticket. I adore this rich shade called Mulberry, sooo festive but they also come in black and green. I'm wearing mine with a buttoned down polka dot shirt for a relaxed look but the addition of the tux jacket or any suit jacket keeps this Christmas Party look smart. I'm wearing my velvet trousers with simple flats too for total comfort. I'd wear this look for a works Christmas lunch and I'm definitely going to wear my velvet trews on Christmas day!

So that's my 5 Christmas Party Outfits. I hope I've given all of you non-dress wearers some party dressing inspo. Do let me know your favourite look! I've got a post coming with my favourite - Christmas jumpers coming soon too!
