Yesterday we headed off to a festival held in our local town. We were hoping to make the most of the slightly better weather (how awful has it been this week??) but also to check out some local bands and acts, eat some food and have a beer. After the slightly rainy V Festival last weekend we had our fingers crossed for a bit of sunshine and there was some but not for very long. All held in the grounds of the castle the festival had such a cool chilled vibe and a real family feel too. I wore my new White Stuff tunic which has the most beautiful peacock print and gorgeous green colour. Its lovely and lightweight for a warm day like yesterday and I teamed it with my girlfriend jeans which I’ve diy’d some rips into. This means almost my entire collection of jeans are ripped now which makes my mother despair ha ha but that is the way I prefer them. It was warm enough for sandals so these jewelled beauties from Primark came out the cupboard and my cute little Michael Kors crossbody was perfect for just my wallet and sunnies.
I kinda wish all festivals were as chilled as this one was. I loved V last weekend but I forgot just how much rubbish and food ends up all over the floor. Its mad that in any other circumstances you wouldn’t dream of finishing eating and dropping your leftovers and packaging on the floor but at V people do! By about 5pm if you want to sit down you have to kick away ten ton of cups, trays and food. I want to find myself a festival with a cool atmosphere and some good acts but a bit cleaner. Anyone have any suggestions?? Let me know in the comments if you have any favourite festivals.
My plans for today are some serious home DIY. I’m working on a spare room makeover and a little bathroom makeover both of which will be on the blog very soon. You can follow my Pinterest boards where I get alot of inspiration from and I have a whole board dedicated to my spare room makeover.
Let me know what you think!
