La Redoute asked bloggers to share their top style tip for a chance to become one of their Brand Ambassadors who amongst other things has the opportunity to blog for the brand (how exciting) and win a trip to Paris. I couldn’t wait to enter and decided my most important style tip would be:
*
*
Remember the fun you had as a child playing with barbies or dolls? It was one of my most favourite things in the whole world. I loved dressing her up in the most wonderful combinations and usually giving her a very uneven and unflattering haircut!
*
*
I loved choosing her outfits and in all the fun I never once worried about what the other barbies thought or if the outfit I’d chosen was “on trend” or not. Wouldn’t it be lovely if we could think like this all the time?? I honestly think you can. Choose items because you love them, because your excited to wear them and don’t let choosing what to wear become a stress. Enjoy it.
*
When I buy something new I love to hang it on the front of my wardrobe so I can see it and be excited to wear it. Its also great once in a while to have a good root around in your wardrobe, treat it like a shopping trip, discover things you forgot to had or forgot you had bought and reinvigorate your love for them. Try hanging these items on the front of your wardrobe to remind yourself to try and wear them that week.
*
*
Don’t panic about trying to wear every trend, not every one will be your cup of tea. I still can’t get on board with disco pants?? Shiny, stretchy trousers are not my bag at all. If its not for you
don’t wear it. Have fun and play around with the trend to make it more your style.
So if full on head to toe florals aren’t for you ……….

Try a simple printed blouse or some fabulous flowery footwear to add a floral edge to your outfit.

La Redoute has a great style guide offering simple ways to
work the essence of French style into your everyday wardrobe using key statement pieces.
See the French Style guide here

The looks focus on staple items that you might have in your wardrobe already or that you can buy at La Redoute, but with which you can build simple and classic
outfits. Use these key pieces as a starting place for your outfit and then have fun with what else you could add??
Some example of La Redoute’s suggested key pieces and my take on them are :
*
 The White Shirt
*
 Denim
*
Stripes
*
Ballerina Pumps

I love French Style so much. It always looks so effortless and chic and it has a great sense of playfulness and fun about it too. I truly do love Paris, its one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to. I’d love to go back. Fingers crossed I get to visit again and bring you all some fabulous and fun fashion from this stunning city, plus win the amazing opportunity to blog for such a wonderful brand too. Its a prize I’d be over the moon to win.
Hope you loved my style tips x
