2017 Beauty and Skincare favourites I'll still be using in 2018

I made my way through so many products in 2017 thanks to pr samples, subscription boxes and buying new things to try out, but there are a few products that made their way into my daily routine and have stayed there.  I love them so much I will be most definitely continuing to buy and use them 2018, so I thought I'd share My 2017 Beauty and Skincare favourites I'll still be using in 2018.

I already have a couple of Jo Malone fragrances and this new addition of Sea Salt and Wood Sage was bought for me by my husband and I'll admit when I saw the word wood I was not sure it would be my cup of tea at all. I usually go for very crisp and fruity fragrances but I love this one so much. Its actually quite aftershave like and woody and it makes a real change to all of my other perfumes, I've been surprised how much I've used it.

Definitely my favourite perfume discovery of 2017.

sassoon curl form mousse

I was given this mousse to try by my hairdresser Natasha at Sassoon Kings Road salon before I went on my cruise and I really love it. It not only boosts my natural curls but if I put some on before blow drying it gets my hair really super smooth and glossy which helped when I did my sleek bun for the Black & White ball onboard. Since I got back I continue to use it when I want to create smooth waves and although its pricey a little goes a very very long way.

It also smells LOVELY!!!

Ever since I've had my hair dyed rose gold I do have to use coloured toners and shampoos etc to keep the colour fresh. I love the Bleach London products and my current fave is the Rose dye and the Tangerine Dream dye mixed in with my conditioner on the ends and leave for 5 minutes. The Tangerine Dream is super pigmented so I use 3/4 rose and 1/4 tangerine.

I would love to try the lilac one this year too!

One of my biggest skincare mistakes is forgetting to moisturize my body. I have bottles and bottle of body lotion but I hardly ever use them. However I was sent this Botanics Instant Moisture mist in a box of goodies and I flippin love it. So quick to spray on and absorbs super fast so you can get dressed straight away. Honestly I've been using it every day and I find it leaves my skin so soft.

Definitely going to re buy this one as soon as this runs out.

I did a Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish review a while ago on the blog and its still my favourite product for really cleaning my skin and giving it a bit of a treat too. I love the smell, a little goes such a long way and I love how it leaves my skin.

Still a firm favourite.

Marks and Spencer Formula Sleep Cream
Elizabeth Grant Flawless eye repair gel

Again I've written  a big old post about this product; the Marks and Spencer Formula Ultimate Sleep Cream. It is a wonderful product and this probably explains why its hard to get hold of sometimes. I put it on before bed and I find in the morning my skin looks lovely and hydrated and plumper. Its one of those products I use once or twice a week and I do dread it running out and me not being able to get hold of it, but it seems to be in stock now and with a  special offer on M&S online too.

This was one of those products from a brand I'd never heard before and it dropped through my letterbox and I never got round to trying out until the later part of last year but I'm seriously impressed. Its gel texture is lovely and smooth and it leaves under my eyes really hydrated and smoothed out too, perfect for applying makeup on top. A bit of a surprise favourite actually. You can find all the Elizabeth Grant products here.

The This Works In-Transit Camera Close Up primer  is a product I've got a couple of mini tubes of since I got it in a Glossybox a few times and I LOVE IT!!! Its a cream primer that's quite loose like a light moisturizer in texture.

Its a mask, moisturizer and primer in one product and I put it on before I apply my makeup everyday. A little goes far because of its texture so I'm still working through my mini bottles, the big bottle would last ages I reckon.

The Ordinary Foundation review

I jumped on The Ordinary bandwagon quite late and after some serious recommendations by my hairdresser amongst other people I had to pick up some bits to try. Aong with what I bought skincare wise was the Ordinary Coverage Foundation. Priced at £5.90 it is ridiculously cheap so I didn't worry about getting it wrong choosing my shade online. I chose 2.1 Medium and I must confess its a tad too orange for me but I cool it down with powder and for the price I'm not really worried.

I love the foundation. Its texture is light and blendable but it has good coverage and lasts really well. Its not too heavy so I don't feel like I have lots of makeup on which I really like. I've actually already re-bought it in a lighter shade and the Serum version too to try, so they'll be a big The Ordinary review coming soon.

I've never been a huge lipstick wearer but ever since I discovered this Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in the shade Fawn I cannot stop wearing it. Its the loveliest dark nude colour and the consistency is so, well velvety!
Its got really good lasting power and its not drying like I find a lot of these liquid matte lipsticks can be. Its my most worn lipstick colour ever.

revlon highlighter stick

Any makeup product that makes it quick and easy to apply is a winner on my book and this Revlon Highlighter stick is just that.
The shade I have, Starlight is the nicest warm bronze toned colour. It has the perfect amount of shimmer with no sparkle and this stick is lasting me a complete age so that makes me happy too. I pop it on my brow bones and cheekbones and dab to blend, its so simple.

I've had this product ages and it is one of only two Charlotte Tilbury products I've ever tried. Its the Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon Eye pencil in the shade Bronzed Garnet. The range of colours are designed to bring out your natural eye colour and I chose this shade to bring out the green in my eyes and it works so well. Its so easy to apply to both the lid and under and smudge to create a really lovely smoky eye. I've used this pencil so much that its been sharpened down quite a lot!

I'm very keen to try more Charlotte Tilbury products so please let me know your faves?

Benefit Foolproof Brow powder kit
Benefit Foolproof Brow powder kit

Last up is the Benefit Foolproof Brow Kit which I use every day to fill in my brows. I have shade no5 which has two shades of powder inside; one lighter for the main body of your eyebrow to the arch and one darker shade for the tail end of your brow. I like how matte the shades are and very cool toned which my brows are. I apply mine with an angled brush and then fix with Benefit's Ready Set Brow gel.

So that's my 2017 favourite products, I'd love to know if any of these are your favourites too or if you try any of these ones out?
