One of the best things of course about moving into a new house is buying homeware and I have to admit I have been buying new bits and bobs since the day our offer was accepted. We've been in the new place over two months now and as it is still a building site due to having an extension I can't show you any full room reveals yet BUT I wanted to share some of the gorgeous items I've picked up over the last few weeks in a new homeware haul post. All the bits are a mix of pieces I've bought myself as well as some gifted items and shopping I've done with vouchers too and are from some of my most favourite places to shop for homeware.

Pretty soon when our extension is finished I'll be able to get the dining table set up and actually eat at it although we have been using this gorgeous dinner service already. Its a white textured set from Next and is 12 pieces for £40.  I love that its not too chunky but also doesn't feel flimsy either and the rib detail is really pretty too. I've also got the matching pasta bowls. I have so much new homeware from Next, it is one of my favourite places to shop for homeware, especially in store. Another of my other fave places to shop for homeware is Sainsbury's. They are literally killing it with homeware and I'll be honest I don't ever food shop there I only go there for the home section. This gorgeous gold cutlery set is Sainsbury's and is even cheaper at the moment in the sale plus they have a copper set too. I also picked up this cube centerpiece with faux peonies as well as these pretty gold leaf martini glasses. If you haven't checked out their drinkware section then definitely do, they have the most amazing gold ice bucket and gold drinks shaker in store at the moment, perfect for that gold bar cart we all wish we had!! Lastly the gold coasters were a bargain find at Asda, again another brilliant place for cheap homeware.

As you can see there is a bit of a gold theme going on. Gold is the accent colour in a lot of the rooms and so I picked up this amazing gold mesh magazine rack and gold mesh waste paper bin from Homesense for the living room. Now Homesense is a treasure trove for quirky home bits, but it is one of those places that if you see it, you have to buy it as it probably won't be there next time! I also bought a fake plant for the downstairs loo ( I have a habit of killing real ones ) which was a bargain at £10!! The gold plant pot is a H&M find. I'm actually going to go back and get the larger one too as its just such a good piece.

On the stairs I have these amazing white planters from Next. They are so gorgeous and can be used indoor or outside. The plants inside actually came from IKEA and LIDL which is a goldmine for house plants just fyi! I'm trying to nurse the one on the left back to life at the moment after my husband forgot to water it the whole time I was away.

In the living room we've got a brand new sofa which I haven't snapped as there would be ten tonne of boxes in the background but its the Lydia sofa from DFS and is soooo lovely and big. But I do have some new cushions, the pink geometric cushion covers are recent H&M buys and the circle cushion is another Sainsbury's find but I bought them MONTHS ago before they sold out!

You might have spotted this gorgeous jacquard duvet set as its graced the background of many a flatlay on instagram. It's another Next find and I blummin love it. I love the design so much and it washes really well which lets be honest as we get older is the thing we actually consider before buying bedding! Am I right? The lampshade is also a Next bargain. I love how quirky it is and it adds a touch of grey to an otherwise white room. The grey throw and the yellow throw are actually for the spare room, but as we don't have a bed set up in there yet they are living in the main room. The grey throw is from Sainsbury's and has such pretty embroidery detail all over. I've layered it up with this zingy yellowy lime blanket which I found in Homesense. I love the pop of colour.  You might also notice the candle. Yes I fell for the ALDI Jo Malone dupes and snapped up a candle and a reed diffuser!!

I painted a feature wall in our ensuite bathroom weeks ago ( you can see in my Weekly Vlog) and I've finally got around to putting up this wire basket towel rack. I like the sort of industrial feel of it. The colour scheme in the en suite is dark grey and pink and I love this for displaying my stripey towels which have a flash of pink in them. I also have all my beauty items stored in this cute wire basket from Dunelm, again ANOTHER brilliant place for homeware! It ties in great with the grey grout too.

So that's my new homeware haul and just some of my favourite places to hunt for cool homeware.

Hopefully I'll have some full room makeover posts to share with you very soon. Do check out my 25 Home Accessories to buy post too for more home inspo.

Why are all the supermarkets stocking better homewear than homewear stores? I am so obsessed with everything at Asda and Sainsburys and Tesco at the moment for when it comes to home styling
