The trench coat is a great Autumn wardrobe piece. Not only will it keep you dry for any of those Autumn showers but its a great transitional coat through to Winter. Trench coats can be styled up so easily for casual daytime, but equally for smarter situations too. As the days get colder you can add layers of knitwear under so it shouldn't be too overly fitted. Plus there's the option for wearing it open or buttoned up and belted too. Its so versatile. For today's post I thought I'd style up this gorgeous Jacques Vert trench and show you how to wear the trench coat two ways!
I love the contrast trim on this trench. It means it pairs really well with black, so for my smart look I'm wearing black wide leg trousers, a striped shirt and these amazing boots with tortoiseshell style heels. (These are a bargain btw, shop here) The cute satchel is a Jacques Vert pick too. Its from their new Leather handbag range and I really like the shape, plus its real leather and looks so much more expensive than it is so win win! The whole look is great for work or even possibly jury duty - where if you watch my snapchat you'll know I am this week. Add some knitwear to this look or a chunky scarf to warm it up too.
For my casual look I'm toning with the ever so slight blush tone to the coat. Its very slight but it does mean it suits pink really well so I'm wearing this striped jumper plus light blue denim and my fave Adidas. This whole outfit is so easy to wear and perfect for the weekend. This one is most definitely my fave.
I really love the style of this kind of post, showing the two outfits side by side so I'd love to know if you'd like the format too and if you'd like to see more Ways to Wear posts like this on the blog?
Let me know xx
