A few weeks ago I posted all about the Jo Malone Christmas collections and after discovering so much about the Christmas range of gifts and candles I also was really interested to learn more about Jo Malone Fragrance Combining. Jo Malone colognes are hugely popular thanks to their amazing range of long lasting scents and attractive bottles but I had no idea that the colognes and the body cremes are designed to be mixed and combined to create your own signature scent.
My taste is for sweet and fruity tones so the Nectarine Blossom and Honey cologne is the perfect scent for me especially over Summer. Combining this with English Pear and Freesia which is a warmer fragrance with woody tones transforms the first cologne into a richer but still fruity scent for Autumn/Winter. It smells amazing! I would never have thought of doing this but Jo Malone has lots of advice on hand about what scents to choose and which combine well. Plus I can also wear both colognes just on their own too.
It also works combining a body creme and a cologne so for example; Lime Basil and Mandarin Body Creme layered with Blackberry and Bay cologne creates a fruity fragrance with juicy depth. Or English Pear and Freesia body creme with Wild Bluebell Cologne for a cool floral fragrance with notes of flowers and pears.
I love this idea I think its so clever and completely unique to Jo Malone. It means you can build a scent collection that can be worn and combined to transition you through the whole year and create scents that are unique to you.
