I have wanted a trouser suit for ages now and when I spotted this cobalt blue trouser suit by Laura Scott at Look Again I knew I had to have it. I love the look of a tailored suit with a simple tee and there has been suits like this all over recently including most popular white. This one is the most gorgeous shade of blue and fits me beautifully. I like the fact its actually not too dressy, I’ve worn this with white trainers too and it looks really cool. Today I’m wearing it with my simple Primark flats and a graphic tshirt. The zebra tshirt is also from Look Again too and is such a cute print, I love it under the suit its just the right monochrome design. Who says suits are just for the office eh?? I’ve been wearing just the blazer with jeans and a black top and that looks really nice too.
Sometimes I wish I did have to wear suits or at least very smart clothes to work. My job involves getting quite messy sometimes with glue and paint etc so I tend to wear quite casual outfits and ones I don’t mind maybe getting trashed. This means I have a whole section of my wardrobe that’s a bit smarter that I never get to wear, but I thought with this suit I’d make the effort to slot it into my everyday wardrobe even if that is just wearing the blazer.
I’ve started to really learn though what pieces get the most wear in my wardrobe and it does tend to be t-shirts and vest, jeans and casual bottoms like culottes. This is probably why I own so many of these types of pieces, especially culottes. This suit would look so amazing as a blazer and then culottes instead of trousers wouldn’t it?? I’d love to own a culotte two piece too so do let me know if you spot any. Plus I’m not afraid of a little colour as this bright blue demonstrates so I’d love something in red or even orange maybe??
I’m having a bit of a clear out of lots of my clothes too so do keep an eye on my Depop and eBay if you fancy snapping anything up and do let me know what you think of a trouser suit, is it your kind of thing or not?
