I was excited to be invited to House of Fraser Concept Store in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be honest I was a bit confused what it was all about so was interested to visit myself and learn more. The concept store opened late last year on Fitzoy Street and is on the first floor of the Cafe Nero. Here you’ll find a House Of Fraser branded mini store front with fitting rooms, cash desk, retail displays of some of the most popular items and computer stations for online ordering. The store allows customers to browse online and order easily as well as gain styling help from one of their in-store personal shoppers plus a makeup artist too who can suggest beauty items.
Products can be ordered online here or from your own home and delivered into this concept store and collected for free plus the added bonus of the onsite dressing rooms means you can try stuff on there and then and return anything straight away. Get your order in before 10pm and your items will be delivered the next day for free into the store.! how good is that?

While I was there I was talked through some of the current popular trends in some of House of Fraser’s edits and shown the amazing beauty products and offers they have online, all whilst sipping a lovely glass of fizz. I had a browse online of some of the amazing fashion House Of Fraser stock and did pick up some pieces for myself so look out for an outfit post of these soon.

The store is really clever. Its brilliant for towns that don’t have enough space for a full size House of Fraser store and it has the convenience of shopping online but also the benefit of real staff you can talk to and who can assist you if you need it. I think it will work great for dedicated online shoppers as well as those who prefer more of a face to face service. I really hope they bring one to my local town as its such a clever and useful concept!
