Dukes Polo – What I Wore feat Freeport Braintree

July 30, 2014 2 Comments
A couple of weeks ago I was invited by the lovely team at Freeport Braintree to the Dukes Polo in Chelmsford and also asked if I would like to choose something to wear from Freeport Braintree’s selection of shops. I’ve never been to the polo before so wasn’t 100% sure what to wear but knowing it was Essex I thought a dress was most definitely the way to go.
Me and the lovely Louise from the Echo newspaper and Georgina from Georgina Does met at Freeport Braintree a few days before the polo and had a manic hour running round choosing an outfit. It was like a fashion based Supermarket Sweep! hectic but so much fun.
I am so in love with orange at the moment and so chose this Karen Millen orange dress with pleated skirt and the most amazing bodice design. The shoes were Clarks and are so comfy and soft and have a wicked gold heel, plus its a chunky heel so no sinking in the grass at the Polo! And to carry all my polo day essentials in I picked this white quilted saddle bag from the Zatchels Outlet. I love Zatchels and already own a mini barrel bag. I’ve wanted to add a quilted bag to my collection so I was really pleased to pick this up.
On the day the weather was amazing and we were treated to bubbles, food and polo plus a good nosey at The Only Way Is Essex cast who were filming that day at the event. I really enjoyed the Polo and I reckon I would go again next year, definitely with a VIP ticket again of course. I even found time to do a bit of shopping in the tent full of stalls and bought the biggest blingiest Essex necklace you’ve ever seen, its sooooo pretty – it will be on the blog very soon.
Thanks so much to Freeport for inviting me. I’d love to know what you think of my Polo picks??

Fab dress and love the metallic heeled shoes. You were very lucky being invited to the polo. I went to a game, but some years ago and would definitely love to go again (if anyone’s listening!!!)
