Me and the husband were really excited to take a bit of a trip thanks to the
 Money Supermarket Road Trip Challenge
It challenges you to take a trip somewhere, helping you out with £50 to put fuel in your car and then asks you to share where you went and what you got up to.

Me and my husband love a good road trip and are planning on driving the East Coast of America in 2014 and we relish the chance to visit somewhere we’ve not been before. We chose to head off to Nottingham and I was especially excited because as I’ve mentioned before I have saved up a little spending pot from selling at the Bootsale and Ebay and had a list of bits I wanted to find for my honeymoon with a completely guilt free shopping spree.

We set off armed with a full tank of petrol and headed off to Nottingham, with a minor stop to pick up some yummy lunch we arrived and hit the shops. I had a not so successful trip to Primark where everything was out of stock :-( but I did pick up some great bargains as you can see from my mountain of bags. I will have a haul post coming soon on the blog – later this week.

The day was lovely and sunny and the centre of Nottingham was full of sun worshipers including loads of kids all in the big fountain which looked so much fun.
For tea we had a scrummy all you can eat Chinese and I ate sooooo much food. Its my favourite thing to eat and does make me a bit sluggish after but I love it. We then crashed in a lovely hotel exhausted from so much walking and food. It wasn’t the best nights sleep as it was so hot and stuffy in the room and had no air conditioning. We had a yummy breakfast next day (which is probably my favourite thing about staying in hotels) and we headed off and left Notingham.

I really liked Nottingham, it had good Town centre shopping and the area we ate in the evening had lots of bars and restaurants with people sat outside in the evening sun drinking so it kinda felt like being on holiday.

Cant wait for our next Road Trip – where should we go next??
