Beauty Buys #1 Featuring Sleek, Rimmel and Revlon

These were my beauty buys last week after watching Zoella’s Top Drustore picks video (link) . I’m not usually so easily persuaded to try things but after seeing her video I bought 4 of the products she said she loved the very next day!!

First I sought out the Sleek blusher palettes which Zoe had raved about for having great pigmentation, I always find my blusher fades so quickly after putting it on in the morning and I’m so impressed by the strength and staying power of these blushers. I picked the Sleek palette LACE. At first I was a bit afraid of the colours but the coral colour on the left is lovely on.

I already knew alot of people and bloggers rated the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation – including Tanya Burr who’s You Tube videos I love too and I decided to purchase. It bought it in TRUE IVORY  and it has lovely coverage. Its a lot more dewy than my Estee Lauder Double Wear which is much too heavy now we’re into Summer (or so they say!) so I like it set with plenty of  powder afterwards but its a nice everyday foundation and it had £2 off in Superdrug.

I also bought the Collection Lasting perfection concealer which is LOVELY! I cant believe I never bought this before, lovely coverage and good staying power too.

Zoe had also mentioned the Revlon Lip Butters. I’m not a huge lipstick wearer. I have a couple of  the Rimmel 1000 kisses Lip Tint pens that I got at LFW and a couple of the Rimmel Kate Moss Matte lipsticks which I do love (hate the taste though!) I prefer a tinted lipbalm but it never has enough staying power and usually they’re are too glossy. My favourite is my Clinique Chubby stick but this doesn’t stick around for long either so I decided to try the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters as they seem like a good middle ground. I picked Juicy Papaya as it was a lovely Coral but not too orangey as that doesn’t suit me and I LOVE IT!

 It has great staying power, feels amazing on the lips, really conditioning. I’ve worn it none stop.

I am going to buy myself another colour next month to add to my collection.

Finally I bought some good old hairbands as I can never find one in the morning and some clear bands for when I do plaits etc.
