Coatigan – Red Herring
Shirt – H&M and DIY collar
Skirt – Tesco
Pumps – Primark
Ring – Dorothy Perkins
Bracelets – Various inc handmade by me
Nails – Rimmel

Firstly, how grumpy do I look in my photos? Sometimes I forget to at least smile a little bit, ha ha
So on Wednesday I was so excited to go to Next’s Christmas event in London called the Next Lock In. I wore my brand new beautiful coatigan ( otherwise known as the coatigan of my dreams thats taken me weeks to find) from Red Herring, a black shirt with a quicky DIY’d gem and stud collar that I did on the day and a brand new bargain skirt from the Tesco sale.

For the event itself a group of bloggers met at a funky bar just off Bond street for yummy cocktails and canapés where we were given our special VIP pass. I met up with lovely beauty and fashion blogger Kat from Jemima and Ted and she was my cocktails and shopping buddy all night :-)

Later we all made our way to the Next Bond Street store which was closed to the public and guarded by red ropes and security!
On entry we were all given a lovely glass of bubbly and an envelope containing 10 tags with our blog name on. We were asked to place the tags on items around the store that we liked. Next have then given a run down of the most popular picks by us bloggers on their blog here
I awarded my cards to lots of lovely prints, laser cut designs and knitwear some of which made it into the top picks.

We were also so lucky to be given £100 to spend in store and alongside fantastic music pumped out by an in-house dj and some of the most helpful staff I’ve encountered for ages me and Kat went about trying to choose how to spend our voucher from an array of fantastic clothes, shoes, bags and jewellery. I already had my heart set on a certain blouse but found out it was an online only range, but was over the moon when an assistant discovered one in a size 10 in the stock room! I was overjoyed.
I also tried on some amazing lace trousers which I so nearly bought but I opted for more casual similar style leggings, a jumper and a handbag too (post to come)

It was most definitely the best event I’ve been to and all the staff from Next and the PR staff were all so lovely that this made the event even more special. It was also fab that we were asked to rate some of the Christmas Collection and I hope to do another post with what I bought and what I picked as my top 10.

Did you go to the Lock-in? What did you buy? What are your top Christmas picks?
