Yesterday was my first ever time to London Fashion week. I had never really understood how it all worked and found the whole thing a bit of a mystery hence my post London Fashion Week – Why I’m Clueless
This year I decided to bite the bullet and apply for tickets. My attempt at accreditation was unsuccessful but this isn’t that surprising as you need some serious klout to earn the special passes you receive if you are accredited. Also all my early emails for tickets for Saturday catwalk shows were met with no’s or complete silence. However never one to give up I applied for a few specific shows closer to the date and entered a couple of competitions and I ended up with tickets to Clements Ribeiro, Jeffrey Michael and Melissa Diamantidi and 2 tickets to the Vintage Retrospective that evening.
I spent ages deciding what to wear. I wanted to be comfy (so no skirt!) and have a good mix of High street and Vintage. I found this super cute cropped sleeve blazer in a charity shop which has great leather detailing on the side and pockets. The trousers are a bargain at £9.99 from H&M but I loved the bold graphic design.
I layered up a H&M necklace with a gorgeous Vintage diamante necklace and a tiered neon cord necklace I made myself along with the bracelet I have on too.

My hair was curled using the Enrapture totem styler which is a brand new purchase of mine and truly the best curling tool I have ever used! It has three heat settings and I used it on 3-3-3 and my curls lasted all day and all night! Truly an amazing piece of kit.

I loved my outfit and I decided against heels and stuck to my flats and was completely happy I did.
I was up at 6.30am and in London at 10am for the first show so it was a pretty long day and my feet were much happier in my trusty pumps. I didn’t get street style snapped but I was totally happy with my outfit and was comfy all day.
I was lucky enough (after a cheeky tweet) to be invited into the Glam UK and Rimmel Blogger Suite in the Aldwych Hotel. There were so many bloggers hanging out using the blogging facilities or having their nails/hair/makeup done by the lovely Rimmel Girls.
I had some gorgeous glitter varnish put on top of my existing grey and I also had my makeup done. I was given a super smoky eye and a flawless finish thanks to the amazing BB cream – I was so impressed by it.

It was great to meet up with some lovely bloggers including the amazing Lily Pebbles and Zozeebo the gorgeous Scarlett London and my new blogger buddy Stu Bradley
Thank you especially to Fi from Glam Media and all the girls from Rimmel who made me thoroughly welcome and also sent me away with the most AMAZING goodie bag packed with tons of new Rimmel Products including the glitter polish and the BB cream they used on me.
I loved my first ever time at LFW even though I was solo for most of it and I have lots of piccies so I am going to split my posts up with one on the catwalk shows and another on the Vintage Retrospective too.
I also am going to write a follow up post to my Fashion Week – Why I’m Clueless post from last year with some hints and tips I learnt as a LFW beginner.
Were you at LFW? What did you get up to??
