Week off and a whole load of shopping.

I had a well desrved week off work this week and I went back “Up North” to visit my sister and my folks.
I went to visit my Sis in Halifax and even though I have sooo much jewellery I picked up 2 beautiful bracelets while there.
The first was bought for me by my sister from a wonderful shop called Emma’s Apothercary in central Halifax.

It is so cute and completely different to anything I own. Its made from a type of acrylic and there was such a range of cuffs, hairbands, rings and brooches that it was so hard to choose!!
The range is available to buy online although I cant see the dog cuffs online at the moment. Do take a look at some of the super cute head bands – I love the caterpillar one.
The shop also had some great homewares and beauty items all with a vintage and kitsch feel – I especially like the range of bath bombs shaped like macaroons and bought some for my friends at work.
My next purchase was from an amazing glass shop in the Piece Hall Halifax.
Gina B Glass was an amazing shop with hundreds of stunning pieces handmade from glass from windchimes, to mirrors, to jewellery. I have always had a slight obsession with glass (I own loads of shot and champagne glasses) and especially dichroic or iridescent glass and when I spied this bangle I had to have it!
It has such an amazing spectrum of colours in it and is so different that I cant wait to wear it! It is very delicate being glass so it ll only get worn for special occasions.
Do check out her website to see some of her work and if your near Halifax stop by the Piece Hall and visit her shop. I also admired a stunning glass dragonfly mobile too which was clear glass and so intricate.
I went out for a great traditional day out with my mum and dad and the man to Southport too and although it rained we had a fab time wandering round charity shops and watching the fun fair rides go round and round and in some cases very high up and then down!!
I bought a wallet from a Charity shop as I needed a new one. It was £2 and although it claims to be Chloe I doubt that its genuine – although if it is its the best bargain I ve ever found!!!
I saw the most amazing 4 piece table and chairs and sideboard set in the window of a Vintage store – I had to remind myself I live in a 1 bed flat to stop myself from buying it!!!

How cute is this?? I think it would make sure an amazing feature in any modern or period home, it was in such amazing condition and really unique.
While in up north I also had a little trip into Primark and H&M and some and I even bought a polka dot jumpsuit from Tesco on the way back in the car when we stopped for sandwiches!!!(posts to come)
Ive also been redesigning the shop Bang On Vintage which is moving to wordpress and will have a blog intergrated with it. That means my Wedding Wednesday and Vintage focus posts along with details of current and new products will soon be available on the new business blog and this my Bangonstyle blog having now had a mini makeover will become much more a personal blog. I will continue to blog High Street and vintage together and hopefully do lots more outfit and personal posts.
Hope you’ll all enjoy the new look blog and I’ll let you all know when the new shop is all up and running
