Royal Wedding Street Party + Bank Holiday weekend + vintage finds

May 1, 2011 3 Comments
So the Royal Wedding Bank Holiday weekend continues. Friday was a great day. Not only did Bang On Bridal launch – with great success and some stunning feedback
but I went to a fab street party with some of my closet friends and my boyfriend and here are some pics.

Saturday was made up of a visit to the boyfriend’s parents, a shopping spree in Primark, a rummage round some Cambridge charity shops and a football match – topped off with a big pub tea. Primark trip was mostly to exchange a dress for a smaller size, it was this Primark stripe midi dress

Now in the flesh its a lot brighter than this and is a pretty obvious rip off of Marc Jacobs – still not fully convinced- but I plan to wear it tomorrow to a barbeque so we shall see. I bought a sweet pussy bow blouse too (though Primark was empty of all blouses in any size smaller than a 16! I found this one at Customer services – had been returned!!).
I also bought some gold sandals to go with a dress for my Brothers wedding. The dress I have bought is a stunning pink/gold maxi (post to come) and I want to wear it with gold sandals and vintage jewellery and handbag.
Today me and the boyf went to a boot sale that was so large it took us 2 1/2 hrs to go round it.
My personal finds were :
 Calvin Klein Denim Gilet £1.50
Vintage Earrings £1
Turquoise Ring £1
Vintage Brooch £1
Vintage Beaded Bag £1
I was really pleased with my finds. The brooch I plan to make into a vintage hair comb for my hair at my brothers wedding and the beaded bag I plan to repair and use on the day as a clutch.
Hope you like my finds. As always check out Bang On Vintage for more Vintage jewellery and accessories
and do have  a look at Bang On Bridal to see some of my other vintage hair combs
Have a great rest of the weekend x x x
