This post is quite photo heavy but I was so excited to finally share with you what our finished living room looks like with a Living Room Tour post. Its taken quite a while to get it done as we actually had some building work done with blocking up the patio doors which used to be on the long wall and changing the window to double doors on the end. But its all finished now and finally we can settle down and start living in it. I've gone for a pink, grey and gold scheme and I'll be honest I am pretty lucky that my husband has been very laid back about me spraying everything in sight gold.

At the centre of the room is our goregous sofa. I have wanted a big old sofa with a chaise end for AGES and thanks to the size of the living room we were able to fit it in. We fell in love with the DFS Lydia sofa in grey and it is beaut! Not only can it fit me, Ben and the two dogs on but we opted for storage in the chaise end too so I can stash away all my crap ha ha. Plus we paid extra for stain-guard which we had on our last DFS sofa and was so worth it.

SOFA | PINK CUSHIONS | MULTI CUSHIONS

The circle design cushions I bought back in February when I spotted them in Sainsburys and I knew I had to snap them up. I blummin LOVE Sainsburys homeware but I find you have to buy it when you see it to avoid disappointment. I loved the pink and grey plus the pop of yellow too and the fact they are the plumpest cushions ever!! I'd pretty much decided back then my colour scheme so it was a safe bet to buy two and put them away. My wall art you might have spotted in my Desenio blog post a while back. I opted for gold frames and three prints to sit above our sofa, plus the hint of pink to tie into the colour scheme. The grey throw is another Homsense find.

In the corner by the patio doors we have a little reading nook with our Map chair which is also from DFS and that we brought with us from the old house. I've added this cute fluffy pink cushion from Primark and behind on the wall is my favourite Homesense find ever this gold mesh magazine rack which you might have seen in my Homeware Haul post. Another favourite piece is this Gold Cage side table which is a brand new addition and I just love. I've sat my Laura Ashley Pineapple lamp on it which I've had for ages and one of my favourite H&M candles. We've also got a pink knitted pouffe for resting your feet on which I found on eBay but similar here.

You might spot THAT rug! Its the insta famous white and black shaggy La Redoute rug and I'm so happy to finally own it! I have the black and white one in the smallest size which fits perfectly in front of the sofa. Its currently down by 20% at the moment too. I love it.
The coffe table is also a new purchase. We didn't have one at the last house. This is the Habitat KILO table. Its metal topped and is just the right size, plus it ties in with the white and wood of the tv unit.

In the corner we've got these gorgeous white and wood shelvesThey were the perfect size to just slot into this corner next to the patio doors and I love the flash of wood edging on the shelves themselves. I'm no shelf dressing expert so I'm not 100% convinced about my arrangement of stuff but I'll be honest I'd amassed such a collection of candles and succulents I needed these shelves. Our old house was Victorian so had lots of period features like alcoves and fireplaces to put things on so moving into a new build with flat walls has been a real challenge for me. You can see our old living room tour here.
I have a strategically placed plant in a basket to hide all the sockets plus a few select books on the bottom shelf. I grabbed this plant from LIDL which is a houseplant goldmine fyi! There's also a few other nic nacs including our mini wedding cake which sits inside a perspex box and a gold and mirror mini cabinet which I found in a charity shop and inside is some gorgeous vintage jewellery I inherited from Ben's grandma.

On the long wall where the patio doors used to be we now have our tv. We hunted for a tv cabinet that was a mix of white and wood and found this one on eBay. Its not the best quality ever but it will totally do for now. Above it sits a long IKEA shelf which used to be in my office in the old house. Now it adds some storage space and some interest to this very plain wall. Next to the tv unit is one of my favourite items my Concrete planter. Inside is an artificial plant and gravel and I just love how it looks. It sits next to our wedding day running order sign which I love just propped up on top of these storage boxes from Homesense.
On the shelf above we also have our wedding day cake topper which was made out of clay by the incredibly talented Little You to look exactly like my actual wedding dress and hair etc. Plus you might spot Eddie on the cake topper too. Oh and yes that is a dog sofa. So not sorry!!
We also have a few more succulents, my little Primark cactus vase, some bargain gold candlesticks I got at Homebase of all places and this pretty glass terrarium. I also like to add in a touch of vintage so I have a vintage vase I found in a charity shop next to the tv and some vintage fashion books handed down to me from Ben's grandma.

Our gold ceiling light is a bargain buy and I love how it looks similar to the west elm one but a fraction of the price, plus unlike our old Victorian property the ceilings are not as high so we wanted something quite flush. In teh coner next to the sofa we have a gold and marble console table which was a bit of a diy jobby by me (I have actually filmed it for my Youtube at some point) and on it sits the amzing lamp that I bought as part of another Homesense haul ages ago and I've sprayed a couple of bits gold to tie in with the rest of the lounge. We've also got my pastel Geo painted frame out which is another diy post I did if you want to try it.

And thats it!! A little look around our new living room. I'm hoping to share more of the finished rooms on the blog over the next few weeks so do let me know which you'd like to see next?

Gorgeous Debs, so light & airy! We are hoping to do up our living space or buy our own home even, next year. It’s helpful to get a few ideas, we have 2 new dfs sofas we got a couple of months ago only in a darker grey, but love them. Your photography shots are amazing..something else on my list next year is a new lens for my EPL7. Dear Eddie & Gus..a house is not a Home to me without dogs. Lovely post x

I love the way you’ve decorated. I’m a bit of a sucker for things with pineapples on so I love the pineapple lamp! I love all the gold accents too x
