Why casual dressing will always be my style

As much as I love the occasional getting glammed up to go out, like when I went on my cruise.  I'm never more happy then when I'm casual dressing to be honest. I just feel more like me. On a day to day basis its all I wear and I get more excited about buying a new pair of culottes, trainers or a good chunky jumper, than I do a dress or heels. In fact I hate heels. I just can't wear them. I own a few pairs and I love the idea of them and the way they look with jeans, but years of being an avid flats wearer has made my feet incapable of wearing heels for longer than half and hour.
This casual outfit is 100% my cup of tea. Plus I'm pretty stoked to have found such a good dupe for those striped popper trousers that were £70 in ZARA, which I loved but couldn't bring myself to spend on something that I used to wear back in the 90's albeit with Kappa ladies emblazoned on the sides.  They are from here and you can get 15% off site wide with my special code DEBS15.

As soon I embraced that casual dressing was clearly my go to style I started investing in really good quality knits and joggers. I have three cashmere jumpers now and they honestly are the best thing ever, so soft and so cosy. I try and get them when they are in the sale so they are a little bit cheaper and I have linked a couple of mine below, along with some of my other fave luxe casual pieces. I also love lounge wear. I keep buying it. As I work from home it is nice to be really comfy and I don't always find jeans that comfy to sit all day in. My collection of joggers is nearly as big as my denim collection but not quite ha ha. Being a casual dressing fan does make it harder for times like Christmas and especially Christmas parties but I'm hoping to share some festive outfits here on the blog that look glam, but keep that comfort and chilled vibe that I'm so fond of.

Hope you all stop by for them and do let me know if your a casual dresser too? Plus don't forget to vote in the Thirty Plus Awards where I'm up for Blogger Of The Year. You can vote here www.wearethirtyplus.com/vote-here

I’m a huge casual dresser and this time of year is my favourite for it. Perfect weather for big knits.
