I love looking at sofas. Since we sold our house and are moving I can't stop eyeing up new furniture. We're so lucky that we're moving to a larger house so we can have that corner sofa I've always dreamt of, but finding furniture for small spaces can be so tricky. Our first place together was a one bedroom flat that was tiny and I really struggled to find a sofa to fit, plus there was so little choice of style or colour. This week I went to an event with DFS and got to check out their new Capsule Collection which is specifically designed for smaller spaces. The collection features sofas, armchairs and footstools all of which have lots of customisable options from colour and  fabric to finishing touches like feet colour and cushions to make the sofa exactly how you want it.

I loved the fact the range offered chaise ended sofas in such small sizes as this is so rarely offered for two seat sofas. They can be adjusted to put the chaise on either side and the velvet fabric option is just dreamy. I also think its clever that the sofa's have removable arms which means you won't have any problem having your new Capsule Collection sofa delivered up the tinniest and windiest of staircases which so many flats and small apartments have.

Alongside the sofas are three statement chairs and three footstools, all different shapes and styles. I especially liked the tub chair shape and the hexagon pouffe. Once you've chosen your style, you can then choose from so many colours, fabrics and legs finish. They offer a gorgeous copper toned leg which looks incredible on the yellow chair and pouffe. I love the fact the range can be mixed and matched really easily and you can really make a statement with a single chair. The other great thing is the price as sofas start at £399, chairs at £299 and footstools start at £99 which I don't think is too bad at all and they all come with the DFS 15 year guarantee too.

As the final finish to your Capsule Collection sofa or chair you can add vibrant print scatter cushions.  DFS has worked alongside emerging designers from Nottingham Trent University to create the textiles. There are some incredible prints by textile designer Victoria Knew which totally add a modern twist to a plain sofa and a pop of colour too if you've opted for a grey or black sofa for example. I love this aspect of the collection and the prints we were shown on the day (in above photos) were by a brand new recent graduate who had won the chance to create a range of cushions and they were stunning!

I loved this collection and I'm a big fan of DFS anyway and our current is a DFS one so I know the quality. We are looking at getting a sofa in the future for our kitchen extension and one of these compact Capsule Collection pieces would be perfect for this kind of room or any smaller space.

I hope you've loved taking a look at this new DFS Collection full of furniture for small spaces and if you want to see the entire range with all the colour options then take a look here at the whole Capsule Collection.

Keep an eye out for more Home posts coming your way as the big move is only ONE MONTH AWAY!!!!!! EEEK
