My 2016 Favourite products | Beauty Fashion & Lifestyle

January 11, 2017 4 Comments

For today's post I thought I'd share some of my 2016 favourite products, from fashion to beauty all the things I used, wore and loved last year. It was hard to round this down to only a small selection, but here are the things I couldn't live without in 2016.

2016 favourite products

MY 2016 FASHION FAVOURITES

rebecca minkoff mini moto tote

REBECCA MINKOFF MICRO MOTO TOTE

I love a mini size handbag and lots of you know I love the US brand Rebecca Minkoff and already have one other mini bag. I chose this gorgeous mini moto tote when I went to the Farfetch Mansion event.

I love the size and shape and I've used it so much. It may be small but it fits my wallet, phone and my Olympus Pen in too. It also comes in so many colours, I'd love it in white too.

La Redoute Cashmere jumper

I never knew how much I needed a cashmere jumper in my life till I had one and now I can't live without it.

This La Redoute grey cashmere jumper is the softest jumper ever and so comfy to wear. I've never seen the big deal in investing in cashmere jumpers and tended to just buy cheap H&M or New Look but my gosh is there a difference.

I love this one so much I would love it in the pink colour too.

nude ankle boots

Boohoo Nude sock ankle boots

These Nude Ankle boots were a very late 2016 purchase and inspired by seeing them on Emma.

I love them so much and have been wearing them non stop. They are such a bargain too and despite the heel are super comfy. I cant wait to get more wear out of them as they are gonna transition into Spring perfectly.

ZARA SALE JEANS

I love finding jeans that fit and jeans that are a bargain too and my favourite jeans last year pretty much all came from the Zara sale. I've got my size sussed so I can buy with no waiting in the mile long queue for the fitting rooms and so many of them were bought less than £15!!

Thats my kind of bargain!!!

z collection jewellery

z For Accessorize Jewellery

Once again the Z Collection is my favourite jewellery collection for 2016 and I know that wont come as a surprise to many of you.

My collection is immense now and every season they bring out even more amazing pieces. This season I am loving the delicate gem earrings as well as any dangly earrings too.

I'm all about the gold pieces but they do have really pretty rose gold pieces and I'm hoping they will release lots more silver pieces this year too.

MY 2016 HAIRCARE FAVOURITES

S Factor TIGI Smoothing Lusterizer

This was my surprise star of 2016. I got sent it by a pr and knew nothing about the S Factor TIGI range or this product TIGI Smoothing Lusterizer.

Firstly it smells INSANE. So nice like sweet and lovely. The product itself is a lightweight lotion to seal cuticles to lock in natural moisture levels and shine. It has a lovely shimmer to it and I like to comb it through my damp hair and then dry as normal

It makes my hair very soft and very shiny and I'd be really interested to try some of the rest of the S Factor TIGI range too. I've linked lots of the range below and they are all on offer AND come with a free gift! Score!

KMS quick blow dry spray
KMS Quick Blow Dry Spray

This is a product I rebuy all the time as I love it. Over Black Friday weekend I bought two bottles of this KMS Quick Blow Dry Spray when it was on offer as I love it so much. Its from the KMS collection which was always used on my hair at my old hairdressers. I love the Silk Sheen treatment which sadly they don't sell anymore but this blow dry spray is my essential blow dry product.

It definitely does speed up my blow dry and I need all the help I can get as I have a HUGE amount of hair, its sooo thick.

Once again this is on offer and I've linked below some of my other fave KMS products.

MY 2016 LIFESTYLE FAVOURITE

drop bottle infuser water bottle

Dropbottle Infuser Water Bottle

In an effort to drink more water I bought this gorgeous Dropbottle after spotting it on Lydia E Millen's insta. Its literally the prettiest water bottle you have ever seen and despite a pricey pricey tag (Its now £32) it has made me drink more water thanks to its infusing abilities. It has a metal sieve disk that clips inside the top of the bottle which means you can add all your favourite fruits to the water and get all that yummy infused flavour without getting bits in your mouth.

Its the most instagrammable bottle ever and it has so many flavour combos you can make in it. Plus it can take warm drinks so you can add fruit tea bags too for example.

I have the rose gold bottle as well as a black cap which I got as part of an offer too.

MY 2016 BEAUTY FAVOURITES

benefit porefessional face primer beauty faves
barry m strobe scream beauty favorites highlighter
lancome cushion foundation compact
collection lip cream makeup favourites
givenchy makeup favourites
Benefit Porefessional | Barry M Strobe Cream | Lancome Cushion Foundation
Collection Velvet Kiss Liquid lipstick | Givenchy Makeup

Benefit Porefessional will always hold a place in my heart as the best primer ever. I do love how well it smooths out my pores and how a little goes a long long way. This year its kept its spot despite trying other primers so long live Porefessional.

I picked up one of these Barry M Stroke cream sticks a few months ago and it is such a good product. Its a great price at less than £5 and is in lovely packaging I think. It lasts forever and goes on so easy, the colour is lovely. I have both Frosty Pink and Iced Bronze and I do prefer the bronze one just for my taste, its also not too sparkly either. For a highlighter scaredycat this stick is so easy to use and lasts pretty well too. A brilliant product.

I was so intrigued when this Lancome Cushion Foundation arrived and once I tried it I was addicted. I loved how smooth it went on and how it was great for taking with you in your handbag too. I loved the coverage and would definitely re-buy this. You'll be able to read my thoughts of a few more cushion foundations next week so lets see if I love them more than this one.

2016 was the year I got much braver with lip colour and tried out lots of brands and colours. I love these Collection Velvet Kiss liquid lipsticks. I first tried them at The Apartment at LFW and was really impressed with them. They are creamy, non drying and the colours are gorgeous. This is my fave shade Creme Caramel. They are also priced at £2.99 (or 2 for 5) so a proper bargain too.

My last beauty favourite isn't one product but a collection. Givenchy Makeup was my beauty surprise of 2016. After a makeover at Lakeside I not only bought several items that day but was kindly sent some items to try too. I love the range. The packaging is so smart and luxe. I love the price point which is around the Benefit price bracket so higher than drugstore but still really good. So many of the products impressed me including the Teint Couture Balm foundation which has lovely coverage with a very slight dewy finish and the Prisme Visage bronzer quad which has a gorgeous warm colour. All in all my favourite makeup range of 2016. Let me know if you'd like to see a full review of all my fave Givenchy items?

Hope you've enjoyed my 2016 Favourite Products. I'd love to know yours too??

I love KMS hair products, one of their shampoos is a repeat purchase and what I always reach for when I want my hair to look fabulous. I’ll have to check out the blow dry spray.
