There are several items that will always be classic pieces to invest in and have in your wardrobe and today's post is all about a few of them and styling up a classic.

Firstly, styling a classic white shirt. This item is owed a place in every girls wardrobe, whether you like an over sized boyfriend fit, a tailored slim cut fit or even a cropped fit, the white shirt is so versatile and so easy to wear. This Gant Perfect Oxford shirt is my go to shirt. It's incredible quality and that comes from paying just that little bit more, but for this you get the perfect fit plus gorgeous thick fabric so no seeing through to your bra which is my pet hate with white shirts.

There's a reason this shirt is a classic and sometimes the best way to wear that is simple with jeans and trainers for a really casual look, which of course is my favourite way. But this shirt would equally suit being dressed up with tailored trousers and heels or worn to work with a pencil skirt. In fact Gant have launched a shirt guide which will help solve your every shirt need!

I'm wearing mine with cropped indigo denim and trainers, another classic. The Cortez shape has been around since 1972 but recently has been reinvented and restyled for the noughties. This pair is the Nike Classic Cortez Nylon in grey and is such a classic shape that I have been wearing these non stop including to LFW Day Two. I'm so tempted by them in black too.

Of course the other big classic in this post that I'm sure won't have gone unnoticed is the Chanel Boy bag. Its one of the most classic designer bags ever and beloved and coveted by many a blogger, or indeed anyone. Now as much as I wish this one was genuine, I in fact picked this up second hand and I'm pretty sure its not real. But it has confirmed my love of Chanel and helped me decide 100% that I want to save up to buy the real thing one day. In the meantime this one will have to do, so shhhh don't tell anyone.

My final classic item is this Rotary Legacy watch. The classic shape of this watch make it such a good statement piece. I really love how simple it is and how it sits so well with such a casual outfit like this one. Much like the Gant shirt, this watch is a piece to invest in, but like any good classic it really will stand the test of time and never go out of fashion.

So that's how I style my classic pieces. What are your classic items you've invested in and love?
