I thought I’d do a special Summer Holiday Favourites post and share with you some of the products I loved using and wearing whilst away on my hols. Its a mix of beauty and accessory faves and some of these were brand new never tried before this trip so they really got tested whilst I was away.
First up are three gorgeous Soap & Glory products in my favourites list at the mo. Soap and Glory isn’t a brand that I’ve bought from a lot over the years. I know so many people rave about their bath and body stuff but I’d never really tried anything until I read about Brow Archery Pencil and decided to buy it. This is literally the only brow product I will use now. It is a brow filling pencil with a twist tip on one side and a brush wand for neatening on the other. I use the shade Hot Chocolate which is the perfect ash toned brown. I love this pencil so much that this is my third repeat purchase and I picked it up at the airport before I left as I couldn’t go away without it. Its precise enough to draw in hairs and has amazing staying power. Honestly I’ve raved about this pencil so much that several of the girls at work bought it too.
I also picked up the Sugar Crush body spray. I had planned to buy perfume at the airport but couldn’t find anything I liked so I bought this body spray just as something sweet to spray on holiday. It smells incredible and was a bargain at like £4.
As I loved Soap & Glory’s brow pencil so much, I had decided to try a couple of other products. So a few weeks before holiday I bought the Thick & Fast Mascara Flash Extension and the liquid eyeliner too. Now I didn’t use the liquid liner a lot on holiday as I like a softer look for hols (but fyi it is very good!), but I used this mascara every day. It gives a lovely fluttery, separated look, not too heavy although it is buildable. I really like this product.
I also took my Radical Skin Perfecting Screen. I mentioned it in my Radical Skincare post and said I liked it but thought I would get more use of it in the Summer. It was such a great product for daytime as not only does it have 30SPF but it mattifies the skin and makes it look radiant. Its perfect for daytime or early evening under your makeup, such a good base.
I also used this peachy toned blusher from Accessorize a lot whilst I was away. I featured it in my Accessorize Beauty post and hadn’t used it much as it was very bronzed/peach toned but once I had a hint of sun kissed on my face this blusher was perfect. It has a really nice slight shimmer to it too, so its great for evening makeup looks on holiday.
I love taking really summery accessories away with me on holiday so when I spotted this Claires Accessories watermelon phone case I had to have it. I love the little loose crystals in the watermelon slices behind the plastic. I’m totally gutted to say I dropped my phone and smashed the case on the last day of my holiday. I’m so sad as I loved it so much. However I still have this cute watermelon slice purse from Accessorize. Its the prettiest beaded little coin purse and I love how bright and summery it is.
Now I haven’t bought any Stargazer makeup since I was about 15, but when I spotted these amazing metallic eye shadows I had to buy them. One is a pinky toned champagne colour and the other is a stunning bronze colour. The pigments on these bad boys is INSANE!!! They were about £2.99 from a makeup shop in town and I used them as highlighters along my cheekbones too. Such a good buy.
Jewellery wise I love to wear delicate pieces and this Astley Clarke gold bracelet is my new favourite. It is a brand I discovered at The Apartment at LFW and I haven’t taken it off since. It features white agate stones and an 18 carat gold lotus charm. Its easily adjustable and such an simple but pretty piece. I’d love a couple more of these to add to my stack and I’ve also got my eye on these Astley Clarke Mini Moon studs which are stunning too.
My other Summer Holiday favourite accessory is my Minute & Azimut watch. You can read my full post about this gorgeous brand here Minuteazimut and I’ve been wearing this non stop. I love the simple face design and the gold and brown strap make it great with a tan too! There’s only a few hours left to bag one of these watches at half price so do check them out!
Hope you’ve enjoyed my Summer Holiday Favourites post.
I’d love to know your holiday faves?
