STYLING DENIM DAY TO NIGHT #DENIMSOS

February 15, 2016 4 Comments

I don’t think I’m alone in how many pairs of jeans I own. I keep buying pair after pair in the hope of finding the holy grail of jeans and along the way I might find a pair that’s almost perfect but there’s always something not quite right. My biggest problem with jeans tends to be the fit and I know this is something other women struggle with too. I love a good skinny pair of jeans but sometimes I want a looser slimmer fit but these tend to be shapeless and too big on the waist. Fitting on the waist is always a problem, some stores I’m a 10 and some I’m an 8 so its hard to know. I also struggle to styling denim of this kind of shape up for daytime through to night, but I’m pretty happy to have found this cute pair of M&S jeans. They are a relaxed fit skinny which is much easier to wear and a size 10 fits perfectly on the waist which is also so rare.

I found these so great to wear in the day styled up with a simple pair of trainers and a casual khaki bomber jacket. I love the cropped length which looks great with a trainers but it also would work so well with an ankle boot for the daytime too.

Adding details like this belt with a western feel and keeping the tee tucked in works perfect for the daytime. This style of denim with shorter leg length will be perfect as the weather warms up, but I also love how easily they style up for the evening which I’ve always struggled with. Add a pair of heels and an embellished jacket and the cropped fit makes them perfect for drinks out or dinner. Plus the relaxed fit makes them so comfy which is actually really important for me especially if the night out involves sitting and eating dinner!

The best thing I loved about these jeans as well as the fit and the style was the price. I think they are a bargain at £26 and M&S isn’t somewhere I would normally head to for my denim, but its somewhere I definitely be checking out more. To help you with your #DenimSOS problems M&S have filmed a great style guide which answers so many common denim problems from sizing to suit shape and styling up denim for special occasions all to help you find the perfect pair!
