To Ombre or not to Ombre

I had planned to have my hair ombred after my wedding was all done and dusted and as my hair was a warm honey tone I was hoping to have a softer ombre look rather than the bright blonde.
BUT!!! Four days before the wedding I dyed my hair with the colour I always use and it went ORANGE at the roots! Yes orange!!
Calmly I headed into town and bought another colour slighly darker brown but from the same range, applied to my roots first then just to the ends at the end. This one turned my hair RED! Now panic ensued. I never wanted bright red hair at my wedding, even though I’ve had red hair before I was really loving my warm honey coloured hair.
My hairdresser dived in the day before the wedding to help and put a flat brown all over my hair which did mute the red alot with still a bit of warmth coming through but left me with much darker hair than before. Now I love the colour, its a warm brown but my options now for ombre or what to do next are limited.

I could go for more of a red/warm ombre rather than blonde like below. Would love to know your thoughts? Ideas? Is ombre so over??

If I’m honest I wish I had just left my hair, even the smallest amount of bleach will cause damage. Saying that it’s your hair, and it’s only hair so it’s not forever so if you want to than go for it x

I love ombre. My hair was ombred before it was a ‘look’ mainly because its so easy to maintain. However saying that I’ll probably dye my hair red for the winter months just for a change. xx
