So my birthday is this Saturday and its the big 30. Now most people would be panicking or upset at the thought of hitting this age milestone – not me!! All I’ve been worried about is what I’m going to wear. For the first time since about age 7 I am having a party – a full on party with invitations, DJ, buffet the whole shabang!!
I designed my invitations myself and with a little help from my friends they looked pretty cool. Its based on my http://www.bangonvintage.co.uk/ logo which has hints of 50’s tattoos, vintage and pop art. My cake is going to be in the shape of the heart with the banner and the swallow and flower too!! Will upload pics after the party.
I want my outfit to be simple with one feature item. I fell in love with a skirt on ASOS after I had seen Lauren Conrad wear something similar in her book Style. Its made up of applique type flowers/ruffles and pearls and is so detailed and pretty. My friends have very kindly bought it for me as a birthday present – which I get to wear on the night.
I’m teaming it with a simple black vest from H&M and sky scraper black shoe boots from owntherunway.com. I struggle to wear heels but these have a hidden platform so hopefully wont feel as high as they look.
Jewellery wise I am wearing simple pearl studs and am on the lookout for a vintage bracelet to wear with it – yet to find!! Handbag will be a little vintage box bag I found this week in a charity shop.
Hair will be loose and messy side bun and makeup will be version of the smoky eye using a pink pallette by Bourjois called Vintage Rose.
